As a MFA ceramic candidate at MICA, Kieun Song is expanding her barriers of what she makes as an artist. She pushes herself to experiment with media that is foreign and finds joy in not just the finished work, but the failures that come along the way.

She obtained her BFA in Ceramics at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA. Her love for the Ceramic material began when she entered a beginner’s Ceramic’s course, by accident, in her Freshman year of High School. Since then, she has been honing her craft while exploring various ways of working with the medium that she was enraptured by.
